This Tea Looks Sus

Greetings, White Lotus! My Apologies for missing last Tea Tuesday's post. We were prepping ready for launch week (which is this week) so I blinked and saw it was Wednesday. So let's get into it!

During my off days, whether it's after my main job or finishing orders, I like to unwind with a cup of tea and something fun. Sometimes that something fun has been binge-watching on Netflix. Other times, it's catching up on the hot tea on Youtube. And you can't go wrong with just listening to music and dancing. But recently, I have taken to playing that meme-worthy Indie game "Among Us". My friend Greg invited me to a Discord group comprised of our alumni friends from school and, boy howdy, it's been wild!

For those who don't know what this game is, it's essentially a game of Clue or Who Done It. You and a group of friends play as these bean-like astronauts on a base. When gameplay starts, you are either a crew member or an imposter. As a crew member, your job is to complete all of your tasks to help win the game. As the imposter, your job is to sabotage the base and kill as many crew members as you can without getting caught. Everyone has to try to convince each other, regardless of the position that you're in, that you're innocent. That's the wild part. I have had the imposter literally kill someone in front of me, report the dead body, and then blame me for said murder!

And what happened? I got booted out because they thought I was too suspicious (or "sus" as the slang goes). This game is hella fun. Especially when you play with a group of people you know. I play on my phone using the app and a few of my friends use their laptops and purchased it on Steam making this game incredibly accessible. And that's what makes it even more fun when everyone can play.

Is this blog post kind of a plug for this game? Yup. It's fun, go play it and share the memes. That's the tea, y'all.

Sip Savory and Spill Responsibly! See you next week and be on the lookout for new Fall flavors!
